Overview

Scribble ("the App") is a drawing app for children, developed by The Ordinary Code ("we", "us"). We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. This policy explains how the app works and the one third-party service it uses.

๐ŸŽจ Everything your child draws stays on their device. We never see it, and we never ask who they are.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Scribble is designed for children and is intended to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose any personal information from children. The App requires no name, email, account, or sign-up of any kind.

Any advertising shown in the App is configured as child-directed and limited to a G (general audience) content rating, so ads are age-appropriate and are not based on personalised profiles.

Your Drawings Stay on Your Device

Every drawing created in Scribble is stored only on the device, and any drawing you choose to save is written to the device's own photo gallery. Nothing is ever sent to us or to any server we operate. We have no access to your drawings and no ability to recover them if the app is uninstalled.

Photos & Media

The "Trace a Photo" feature lets you pick a photo from the device to draw over. That image is used only on the device, inside the app, to display it behind your drawing โ€” it is never uploaded or shared with us. Saving a finished drawing writes it to the device gallery. These actions require the device's photo/media permission, which you can grant or deny at any time.

What We Do Not Collect

Third-Party Services

The following third-party service is used by the app. It operates under its own privacy policy.

Permissions

Data Retention & Deletion

Because we store nothing, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Your drawings live in the app and, if saved, in your device gallery; you can delete them at any time, and uninstalling the app removes its local data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
